A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On behalf of our entire staff, welcome to the 2014-2015 school year at Meadowbrook Elementary School!  The elementary school years are a particularly exciting time for students and the Meadowbrook staff comes together each day to serve our students. Our school community strives to instill in each child the excitement that comes with learning, where the bar is set high and academics are aligned to the NC State Standards. Our teachers and staff are highly qualified and committed to serving each student academically, emotionally and physically. Meadowbrook Elementary, along with every school in our district, is determined to promote 21^st Learners.

Many great things happen at Meadowbrook with family and community collaboration.  If you would like to be involved at Meadowbrook, please consider volunteering or attending one or more of our parent group meetings:  Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Student Advisory Committee, and School Improvement Team.  Dates and times are listed each month on our website.  Many individuals also volunteer to help in the classroom and other ways here at school. Parental involvement has been proven to make a positive difference for our students.  I encourage each of you to get involved in some capacity.

We are dedicated to meeting the needs of every student. We value your participation and input. Your ideas, suggestions and involvement in our school help to make it a better place for our students.
