McGruff helped our Kindergarten classes take a bite out of crime when he paid a visit to Meadowbrook. Students took palm prints with ink and brought home special ID kit booklets so that parents could have a kit in case of an emergency. Brooklyn Riddle, a student in Mrs. Trull’s class said, “He teached us about strangers and an emergency. When a stranger says ‘give me some candy or something, you say ‘no thanks.'” Sage Peterson agreed about strangers, “Always say no when they offer you something.” The students enjoyed the visit and learned about what to do to stay safe. “It was fun.” said Sloan Riddle, a student in Mrs. Graham’s class.
